Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Rove, Inc. ("Rove", "we", "us") and govern your use of the Rove app, website and services (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Your account

You need an account to use Rove. You must provide accurate information, keep your password secure, and be responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age where you live) to use the Service. Tell us promptly at [email protected] if you believe your account has been compromised.

Using Rove

Rove streams the screen, audio and input of a computer you control to a device you are signed in on. You may only connect to computers you own or are authorized to access. You are responsible for the content you stream and for complying with the laws that apply to you.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Access a computer without the owner's permission, or use Rove to monitor anyone without their knowledge and consent.
• Break any law, infringe anyone's rights, or distribute malware.
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service, other users, or our infrastructure.
• Reverse engineer, resell or misuse the Service except as allowed by law or by our written permission.

We may suspend or end access if you violate these Terms or if your use puts the Service or others at risk.

AI features

Rove includes AI features that observe your screen and can take actions on your computer when you ask. AI output can be wrong or incomplete. You are responsible for reviewing what the AI does and for any action you approve. Do not rely on the AI for legal, medical, financial or safety-critical decisions.

Plans and payment

Rove offers a free plan and a paid Premium subscription. Paid plans are billed through our payment provider, Polar, and renew automatically for the period you choose until you cancel. Prices are shown on the pricing page and may change with notice for future billing periods.

You can cancel any time from the customer portal linked on your account; you keep Premium until the end of the paid period. Except where the law requires, payments are non-refundable.

Your content and privacy

You keep ownership of your content. Your screen, games, apps and files stay on your own computer; we do not upload them. Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect and how we use it, and forms part of these Terms.

Our software

Rove and its software are owned by us and our licensors. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use the app for your own use, subject to these Terms. Updates are provided under the same licence.

Beta software

Rove is in public beta. Features may change, break or be removed, and the Service may be interrupted. We do not promise any particular uptime or that any feature will remain available.

Termination

You may stop using Rove and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate the Service, or your access to it, if you breach these Terms or if we need to for legal or security reasons. On termination, the rights granted to you under these Terms end.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure or error-free, or that AI output will be accurate.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Rove will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or USD 50.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. If a change is material, we will make a reasonable effort to notify you. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
